Your Profile
Your Dermal Diagnosis skin type is characterized by sensory symptoms like burning and stinging rather than a visible condition. The stinging, itching, burning, or related skin discomfort you experience results from triggers affecting your sensitive nerve endings.
The stinging you experience is a non-allergic reaction and may be accompanied by inflammation and redness, but that is not always the case.
While the exact cause of stinging varies from person to person, avoiding certain topical ingredients can help to relieve stinging and other unwanted effects. Ascorbic acid, plant extracts, fragrance, alpha hydroxy acids, benzoic acid, and sodium lauryl sulfate are examples of ingredients to avoid if your skin burns or stings.
Your dry and dehydrated skin has overactive melanocytes (pigment cells) and has an increased risk of premature aging.
You struggle to find the correct skincare products that do not aggravate your symptoms. Consistent everyday use of the correct products will allow your skin to repair itself, hold onto water and reduce its tendency for stinging and burning.

No Breakouts
The excellent news for Aging.Dry.Pigmentation.Sensitive (ADPS) skin types is that the sensitivity you experience causes stinging and burning but does not present as acne breakouts.

Pigmentation

Dry and dehydrated skin barrier

Premature skin aging
Aging.Dry.Pigmentation.Sensitive (ADPS) skin has a dry and dehydrated skin barrier. Because of this, your skin has trouble holding onto moisture and preventing allergens and irritants from reaching the deeper layers of your skin. Your dehydrated skin makes it more susceptible to premature skin aging.
You experience stinging, itching, burning, and related skin discomfort from various triggers and products.
The inflammation you experience leads to hyperpigmentation, presenting as dark spots and uneven skin tone. Sun exposure exacerbates pigmentation problems, as the sun’s UV rays trigger your skin to produce more and more melanin, the pigment that gives your skin its color.
