AGING . DRY . PIGMENTATION . ALLERGY
Your Profile
You have one of the most challenging skin types, because Your Dermal Diagnosis is one of the most complex and challenging skin types because all four barriers to skin health are present: dehydration, inflammation, pigmentation, and aging. However, all of these skin concerns can be remedied with the proper skincare ingredients and regimen. Your skin type needs medical grade skincare more than any other skin type.
Your skin does not produce an adequate amount of sebum (oil) to protect it from dehydration, allergens and irritants. You have overactive melanocytes (pigment cells), and your skin have an increased risk of premature aging. Your skin feels rough, tight and lacks radiance due to poor light reflection.
ADPA skin types also have an impaired skin barrier which means that allergens, bacteria and irritants can more easily enter the skin and water evaporates off of the skin leaving it dry. You struggle to find the correct skin care products that do not aggravate your symptoms.

No Breakouts
The good news for Aging.Dry.Pigmentation.Allergy (ADPA) skin types is that the inflammation you experience causes disruption of your skin barrier, but does not present as acne breakouts.

Disrupted, dehydrated skin barrier

Premature skin aging

Microbiome disruption

Inflammation

Hyperpigmentation
Aging.Dry.Pigmentation.Allergy (ADPA) skin has an impaired skin barrier. Because of this, your skin has trouble holding onto moisture and preventing allergens and irritants from reaching the deeper layers of your skin.
Your skin's natural microbiome is altered and the balance between normal microbes is disrupted, giving harmful microbes the opportunity to invade the skin and trigger inflammation.
The inflammation you experience leads to hyperpigmentation, presenting as dark spots and uneven skin tone. Sun exposure exacerbates pigmentation problems, as the sun’s UV rays trigger your skin to produce more and more melanin, the pigment that gives your skin its colour.

- Keep Medi-Zinc cleanser in contact with your skin for 5-10 min.
Tip: Apply to dry skin (so that the cleanser do not run into your eyes - it will sting). Keep on your skin while you ex. brush your teeth, bath, shower or get dressed. Rinse off after 10 min. and wipe your face clean with a clean face cloth or with the microfibre face sponge. - Apply Litaderm serum every morning.
- Use DermRepair morning and/or evening as needed (if and when you feel your skin needs extra moisture or anti-inflammatory treatment).
- Either apply Retinol serum every night and follow up (after 5 min.) with Litaderm serum, or alternate Retinol serum and Litaderm serum at night.
- Very sensitive skin may only tolerate Litaderm serum once per day - either morning or evening. Some ADPA skin types may even be too sensitive for daily application, and will therefore need to apply Litaderm serum every other day until skin becomes more tolerant.
