- Keep Medi-Zinc cleanser in contact with your skin for 5-10 min. Tip: Apply to the skin before getting into the bath or shower. Keep on your skin while you, for example, brush your teeth. Rinse off in the shower or bath after 10 min.
- Apply Chemical Peel Spray on affected areas. Spray on the area and gently rub it in with your fingers.
- If sensitivity occurs, reduce the application frequency of Chemical Peel spray.
Don't apply on open wounds.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS IN THIS TREATMENT PACK
BROAD SPECTRUM ANTI-MICROBIAL ACTIVITY:
- Inhibits and reduces the burden of Malassezia (ipophilic yeasts) on the skin.
- Targets gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as other fungi that cause ringworm, athlete's foot, and jock itch.
- Disrupts iron distribution across the yeast wall and effectively starves the yeast of some of the critical processes important in its respiratory function.
- Zinc Pyrithione penetrates the hair follicle where Malassezia resides and has a unique slow-release ability. It persists in the top layer of skin even after rinsing off the product. Therefore, it imparts long-lasting control and sustained release of anti-yeast coverage and suppression of the Malassezia yeast overgrowth.
- The yeast, fungi, and bacteria do not develop resistance towards Zinc Pyrithione. Consistent application of Zinc Pyrithione will, therefore, result in continuous antimicrobial activity.
Keratolytic and Comedolytic:
- Salicylic acid penetrates deeper into the pores to dislodge the paste-like combination of dead skin buildup and oil, preventing blockages.
- This makes the skin softer and more penetrable for the emerging hair strands to grow through.
- Salicylic acid also disrupts cellular junctions to exfoliate dead skin cells.
Anti-inflammatory action:
- Salicylic acid has potent anti-inflammatory effects, as it is an inhibitor of the arachidonic acid cascade.
Anti-bacterial:
- Inhibits the production of various aspects necessary for bacterial reproduction, such as fibrinogen, fibronectin, and alpha-hemolysis. Therefore, salicylic acid may neutralize the bacteria C. acnes present in the blemishes.
