FULL INGREDIENT LIST:
Aqua, Polyethylene Glycol, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate, Cocoamidopropyl Betaine, Glycolic acid, Salicylic acid, Mandelic acid, Glyceryl Cocoate, Phenoxyethanol & Ethylhexylglycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Disodium EDTA
Resistant skin:
(able to tolerate the product in its most potent form)
- Use morning and evening.
- Apply on dry skin. If you apply your cleanser to dry skin, you are able to circulate the cleanser over your eyes without burning or stinging.
- You may slightly damp your fingers to help with spreading. If you have resistant skin, you should not use too much water while cleaning, as water will alter the pH of the cleanser - rendering it less potent.
- Keep the cleanser on your skin for 3 min or longer. Tip: Keep the cleanser on your skin while you brush your teeth/bath or get dressed.
- Remove the cleanser with a clean, lukewarm face cloth or the microfibre face sponge. This will also help to remove excess makeup and loose peeling skin.
Sensitive skin:
(not able to tolerate the product in its most potent form yet)
- Use only in the evening. Wipe your face in the morning with a lukewarm wet facecloth or microfibre sponge. This will help remove dead skin dissolved and loosened by the cleanser.
- Apply cleanser to a wet face. The water will help to neutralize the cleanser to decrease the potency. Be careful to apply the cleanser around your eyes, as the water may cause the cleanser to run into your eyes, which will sting. Rather avoid the eye area, and instead remove eye makeup (if applicable) with your microfibre sponge with a small drop of cleanser mixed with water lathered into the sponge.
- Keep the cleanser in contact with your skin for 1 min or shorter.
- Remove the cleanser with a clean, lukewarm face cloth or the microfibre face sponge. This will also help to remove excess makeup and loose peeling skin.

SALICYLIC & GLYCOLIC ACID MODE OF ACTION
SALICYLIC ACID
- Salicylic acid works by loosening and breaking apart desmosomes (attachments between cells in the outer layers of the skin). This action encourages the exfoliation of dead and damaged skin and unclogging pores.
- Disrupts cellular junctions to exfoliate dead skin cells.
GLYCOLIC ACID
- Glycolic acid facilitates progressive weakening of cohesion of the intercellular material of the outermost layers of the skin (stratum corneum), resulting in uniform exfoliation.
- Disrupts cellular junctions to exfoliate dead skin cells.
- Salicylic acid is lipophilic, which means it can penetrate oily skin and clogged pores, resulting in deep cleaning.
- Decongests pores by dissolving and extracting dirt, oil, and cellular debris in the pores and follicles.
SALICYLIC ACID
- Salicylic acid reduces sebum secretion.
- Salicylic acid has potent anti-inflammatory effects, as it is an inhibitor of the arachidonic acid cascade.
- Salicylic acid reduces inflammation by modulating COX2 gene expression to decrease the formation of pro-inflammatory cytokines.
GLYCOLIC ACID
- Reduce acne-related inflammation.
- Exhibit pH-dependent antibacterial activity against C. acnes. At a pH of 3-3.5, glycolic acid kills C. acnes cells by disrupting bacterial cell membranes.
SALICYLIC ACID
- Inhibits the production of various aspects necessary for bacterial reproduction, such as fibrinogen, fibronectin, and alpha-hemolysis. Therefore, salicylic acid may neutralize the bacteria C. acnes present in the blemishes.
GLYCOLIC ACID
- Exhibit pH-dependent antibacterial activity against C. acnes. At a pH of 3-3.5, glycolic acid kills C. acnes cells by disrupting bacterial cell membranes.
- Salicylic acid works well to balance sebum levels because it is lipid or oil soluble. So rather than remaining on the skin's surface, salicylic acid penetrates deep into sebum-filled pores.
SALICYLIC ACID
- In addition to functioning as an acne treatment, salicylic acid is used in anti-aging skincare products due to its ability to brighten the complexion. It acts as an exfoliant by softening and dissolving keratin, thus allowing dead skin cells to shed naturally.
- Studies have suggested that the exfoliating properties of salicylic acid may reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Over time, exfoliation helps to reduce the thickness of the layer of dead skin cells, giving the skin a brighter, more glowing appearance.
GLYCOLIC ACID
- Exfoliate dead skin cells and reveal the newer, brighter layers underneath by acting on the stratum corneum (the outermost layer of skin). Normal, intact stratum corneum consists of tightly packed layers of dead skin cells tightly bonded together. Glycolic acid loosens these bonds. With their glue dissolved by glycolic acid, those tough, rough layers of dead skin cells can more easily slough away.
- The small molecular size of glycolic acid allows for deeper penetration in the skin layers, where it stimulates fibroblasts to produce increased amounts of collagen. By stimulating collagen production, it helps skin feel firmer and minimises fine lines and wrinkles.
- Inducing chemical exfoliation removes dead, damaged, and discoloured skin cells from post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation faster. It drives new skin cells to the surface of the face. This spurred cell renewal helps to reveal the healthier, underlying skin, and promotes a more even skin tone overall.
- Glycolic acid suppresses melanin formation by inhibiting tyrosinase activity.

Normal reactions may include stinging or burning, skin peeling, or skin irritation.
Follow the below guidelines to manage the initial irritation reaction:
- Use only in the evening. Rinse your face with clean water in the morning. If you have loose peeling skin, wipe your face with a lukewarm face cloth in the morning that will help to remove this loose dead skin.
- Apply cleanser on wet face. This will help to decrease the potency. Do not apply over your eyes.
- Keep the cleanser on for shorter periods. Gradually increase the timeframe, as your skin becomes more tolerant.
- Remove the cleanser with a clean, lukewarm face cloth or microfibre face sponge. This will also help to remove excess makeup and loose peeling skin.
