Your skin has two significant upsides: you have adequate oil (sebum) that provides antioxidant protection, and your resistant skin is not prone to inflammation.
You have two barriers to skin health: Signs of aging and pigmentation. To counteract these barriers, you need potent and effective medical-grade products. Luckily, your skin can usually tolerate these better than sensitive skin types can.
AOP skin can face pigmentation problems such as melasma, dark spots, uneven skin tone, and signs of premature aging. Most AOP skin fits into one of three categories:
- A younger person with significant sun exposure, who usually dislikes the feel of sunscreen due to the oiliness of their skin.
- A woman with melasma that may be due to pregnancy or hormone use.
- Someone over the age of 30 who did not use much sunscreen in the past.

- Either apply Retinol serum every night and follow up (after 5 min.) with Litaderm serum, or alternate Retinol serum and Litaderm serum at night.
- Start using Glycolic gel only once per week. Slowly increase the frequency of use as your skin becomes tolerant.
- When your skin can tolerate more frequent Glycolic gel application, apply Glycolic gel instead of Retinol and Litaderm serum 2-3 times per week (as tolerated by your skin).
- Optional - You may follow up your Glycolic gel application with either Litaderm or Retinol serum after 15 min.
- Monthly chemical peels will improve cellular rejuvenation, stimulate collagen production, and speed up the pigmentation correction treatment process.
